Must be nice to be a Massey...nap time is always on the table.
Massey got to explore some new trails with us this weekend. I think she liked them.
Focused, as usual.
Tall grass, brambles, nice light. She's a happy dog.
Sort of a trail dog anyway. Until a bird flutters or a pika chirps or a gopher pops its head up. Then she's off trail.
Because the pigeons on the neighbor's roof are a real threat.
She's all about the ball. Until she hears a bird outside. Then the stalking begins.
When she's ready for a run and you're trying to finish some work, this is the look you get. Its just so miserable being Massey. Terry caves every time these eyes come out.
The life of Massey is really hard. It requires a lot of recovery time.
Keeping up with her doggy buddies on social media is exhausting.
Its amazing the nasty, prickly, scrubby brush that Massey seems to run through without any issue. Occasionally she has to stop her full out sprints to check her location...and the location of the birds.
No idea what she was looking at, but she is very focused on whatever is up there.
Massey likes staring at fields of wildflowers...mainly because there are gophers for her to chase near the wildflowers.
Massey loves to go for a run in Toro Park, mainly because she knows that it will generally be a long one. One of my favorite views in all of Monterey County is from the top of the infamous Sh*t Hill, right next to the 1,800' sign post marking Ollason Peak. On this lovely spring day a few months back, Massey liked the view, too.
A ray of sunlight.
Where ever the sunbeam is
Where ever it is shining
That ray of light
That's where I'll be
Bathing and soaking it in
I bet there are birds outside the window.
Massey loves sunny Saturday mornings. The sunlight filters in the backdoor and Terry makes sure her bed scoots around to maximize sunbeam exposure. He asks if the bed is in the right spot, too, just to be sure his princess is happy.
I feel like this should be some sort of vintage Hitchcock movie poster, with red blood drippy letters above and below that adorable little nose.
She likes to pretend like she's important when she sits in the Sac.
